Products — Roller Shutters
Heat, light andprivacy under control.
Exterior roller shutters are a simple way to raise indoor comfort in every season. They shield effectively against excessive sunlight, improve thermal insulation around the window and protect the privacy of the residents. With Aluprof systems we match the mounting type and technical parameters to new builds as well as modernised buildings – survey, production and installation are handled by our own team.

Why exterior roller shutters?
Comfort that starts
before the glass.
The shutter curtain holds back a significant share of solar energy before it reaches the window pane. Cool in summer, warm in winter – and a quieter, safer home in every season.
- 01
Heat control
One of the main tasks of exterior roller shutters is to limit the heating of rooms. The curtain holds back a large part of the solar energy in front of the pane and keeps the room temperature pleasant. In the colder months it reduces heat loss and supports the building's energy efficiency.
- 02
Privacy and protection
A closed shutter blocks views from outside and protects the window from weather and attempts to pry it open. Your living space stays under your control alone.
- 03
Quieter rooms
The layer of air between pane and curtain noticeably reduces noise entering from outside. Traffic, neighbours and street noise stay out.
- 04
Smart home integration
Motor drive, timers and sun and wind sensors can be integrated into the building automation. Your shutters find the right position on their own throughout the day.

Surface-mounted — SK, SKE, SKP
Quick installation without touching the building structure.
The surface-mounted systems SK, SKE and SKP are primarily intended for existing buildings. Installation requires no work on the window and no special preparation during construction – they can be fitted at any time in the window recess or directly on the façade. The SK and SKE boxes with their characteristic 45° bevel underline the modern character of the building; the semi-oval SKP box blends harmoniously into the façade.
- Ideal for existing buildings and modernisations
- Mounted in the recess or on the wall, independent of the window
- SK / SKE: box with 45° bevel · SKP: semi-oval box
- Optional integrated insect screen

Surface-mounted — SKO, SKO-P
A decorative element of the façade: the oval box.
The SKO and SKO-P systems also belong to the family of surface-mounted shutters for existing buildings. Thanks to their oval shape and well-thought-out construction they are especially popular for wall mounting and become a design feature of the façade. The SKO box is made of highly rigid extruded aluminium; the SKO-P box is made of high-quality aluminium sheet coated in PU/PA technology and remains abrasion- and weather-resistant for years.
- Oval box shape for wall mounting
- SKO: extruded aluminium · SKO-P: coated aluminium sheet
- Independently operating Moskito insect screen system
- Protection from insects without restricting light and air

Concealed — SP, SP-E
Invisible box, continuous façade.
For newly planned buildings the concealed roller shutters SP and SP-E are the first choice. Their use should be considered at the planning stage, because the box disappears completely beneath the final façade layer. Its front forms the substrate for plaster or other cladding – the shutter becomes an invisible part of the façade. Since neither window nor lintel is touched, the building's thermal insulation and airtightness are preserved. Inspection flap and guide rails can be colour-matched to the windows.
- For new builds and comprehensive renovations
- Box fully hidden beneath the façade layer
- No intervention in window or lintel – energy balance preserved
- Certified by the Passive House Institute Darmstadt
Profiles and colours
The right curtain
for every project.
Shutter curtains are made from different profile types and can therefore be easily adapted to the requirements of each project. Surfaces receive a double PU/PA coating for high abrasion and weather resistance.

PA series Aluminium, PU-foamed
Aluminium profile filled with polyurethane foam – light, well insulating and the most common choice. Seven profile heights from PA 37 to PA 55.

PE series Extruded aluminium
Extruded aluminium profile with increased rigidity and strength – for large openings and high security requirements. PE 41 and PE 55.

PT series PVC profile
Economical, lightweight PVC profile – the budget-conscious solution for standard window sizes. PT 37 and PT 52.
Over 40 colours and finishes
From white through anthracite and concrete grey to wood finishes such as golden oak and walnut. Box, guide rails and curtain can be combined to match the window.

Energy-efficient building
Passive House certified concealed systems.
The high technical performance of the SP and SP-E systems has been confirmed by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt. Selected box variants can be used in buildings with very low energy demand, provided the installation requirements of the certificate are met. For large windows we offer large-format roller shutters that make even better use of the potential of large glazed areas in energy-efficient and passive construction.
- PHI certificate
- Certified Passive House component for box sizes 137, 150 and 165 mm.
- Window compatibility
- For all windows with Uw < 0.80 W/(m²K) and Ug ≤ 0.70 W/(m²K).
- Airtightness
- No intervention in window or lintel – the building's airtightness is preserved.
- Large openings
- Large-format roller shutter solutions for wide glass surfaces.
